Project Quality Manager [Turkey]


 

Location: BALIKESIR


We are currently looking for a Project Quality Manager to join our new investment project team who will be responsible to ensure that quality, compliance, food safety and hygiene standards are maintained and promoted within the site by following company policies, standards, norms and applicable legal regulations, acts as the guardian of food safety and compliance in the site, having the role to challenge all other functions in the pursuit of zero defect as the essential base for maintaining consumer trust and preference.


Main Responsibilities;

  • Develop and maintain quality competences and awareness for all employees in the site and third parties. Ensures that the Quality team is properly resourced, motivated, trained, guided, and developed. Responsible for ensuring continuous training of employees on aspects of the quality, food safety and compliance systems that are relevant to their position.
  • Introduce, monitor, and update quality and food safety programs in conjunction with other departments to meet company and regulatory standards. This includes but is not limited to: quality control testing framework, HACCP, food safety monitoring applications and defense procedures, pest management and housekeeping/sanitation practices. Responsible to setup, manage, enforce, and maintain the Category Quality Management System as well as establishing the Operating Quality Manual
  • Ensure adherence to the product quality standards and specifications set by Research & Development and Marketing, to guarantee the consumer receives the highest quality product each and every time
  • Ensure adherence to good hygienic practices in the factory. Ensure the correct implementation and supervision of the factory pest management program.
  • Ensure the correct functioning of the factory laboratory, including personnel safety, availability of equipment and training of technicians.
  • Manage release decision of products by ensuring fully compliance to relevant standards. Quality manager can delegate the release authority to the quality personnel via supervision
  • Ensure the monitoring of key quality parameters by means of statistical process control to drive structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement in the quest for zero defect. Lead the factory management review of quality (MRQ). Responsible for statistical process control metrics, manage nonconformity material discrepancy report, customer complaints and recommend continuous improvement activities. Document, investigate and respond to customer complaints.
  • Manage the internal audit, assessing the performance of the quality system, reporting its effectiveness to the management, and proposing actions for improvement. Ensures that corrective actions from these audits are closed out within timescales
  • Continuous improvement and root cause analysis: Ensure the monitoring of key quality parameters by means of statistical process control to drive structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement in the quest for zero defect. Lead the factory management review of quality (MRQ).
  • Q-Pillar: Establish Q-Pillar Master Plan at factory level ensuring the compliance with the TPM reference guide and Deploy the Q-Pillar across the factory (apply the Q-Pillar main roles: methodology, training, coaching).


Qualifications;

  • Over a sustained period of 6-7 years’ experience of quality assurance gained within a food manufacturing / production background
  • Experience in new products introduction/ new factory structural methods
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and principles
  • Microbiological testing experience and knowledge, along with food technology and hygiene experience
  • Proven record in managing quality assurance systems, including related ISO standards
  • People management is a must; ability to lead, delegate, teach and coach others
  • Knowledge of pet food industry is a plus
  • Good written, verbal and presentation communication skills in English
  • Should demonstrate negotiations in cross functional and cross market teams
