Warehouse Officer [Nigeria]


 

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Officer to join our dynamic team. As a Warehouse Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing our warehouse operations efficiently and ensuring smooth inventory management. (LOCATION IS LAGOS AND ASABA)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing goods efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying quantities and quality of items received or shipped.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain proper storage and labeling systems to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy retrieval of goods.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure sufficient stock levels and timely replenishment of inventory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely delivery to customers.
  • Monitor and enforce warehouse safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Use warehouse management systems or software to track and record inventory movements, transactions, and stock levels.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Train and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, preferably in a similar capacity as a Warehouse Officer.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and conducting stock checks.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems or software for inventory tracking and management.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items, as required.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in warehouse management or logistics is a plus.
