We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Officer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing goods efficiently.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying quantities and quality of items received or shipped.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain proper storage and labeling systems to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy retrieval of goods.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure sufficient stock levels and timely replenishment of inventory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely delivery to customers.
- Monitor and enforce warehouse safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Use warehouse management systems or software to track and record inventory movements, transactions, and stock levels.
- Identify process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, preferably in a similar capacity as a Warehouse Officer.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and conducting stock checks.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems or software for inventory tracking and management.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items, as required.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in warehouse management or logistics is a plus.
