Job Summary:
As the Formulation Chemist and Packaging Executive, you will play a critical role in our company's growth and success. You will be responsible for assisting product development projects from idealization to commercialization, ensuring the successful creation and launch of new chemical and perfume products. Additionally, you will contribute to the packaging design, ensuring that our products are packaged efficiently, attractively, and in compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulation Assistance:
· Assist the R&D Manager in developing new chemical compounds and fragrance formulations, following established procedures and guidelines.
· Conduct laboratory experiments, tests, and evaluations to assess the physical and chemical properties of formulations.
· Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, observations, and data, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
· Operate laboratory equipment, instruments, and analytical tools, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
· Conduct routine quality control checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory data.
· Assist in maintaining inventory levels of laboratory supplies and chemicals.
· Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation summarizing experimental procedures, results, and findings.
· Coordinate and participate in product testing and evaluation, analyzing results.
· Maintain the laboratory in a clean and orderly fashion at all times, while ensuring that all equipment in the laboratory is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
Packaging Design and Development:
· Supporting the packaging design process, collaborating with external vendors, graphic designers to create visually appealing and functional packaging solutions.
· Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards for product packaging, including safety, labeling, and sustainability requirements.
· Optimize packaging materials, considering factors such as cost, environmental impact, and product protection.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, packaging design, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
· Proven experience in formulation and packaging within the chemical or pharma related industries.
· Strong knowledge of fragrance compounds, chemicals, and raw materials.
· Familiarity with packaging design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
· Understanding of industry regulations and standards related to product packaging and labeling.
· Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
· Creative thinking and a passion for innovation.
